This last Tuesday, the second and final book in the Blood Rose Rebellion duology was released–Lost Crow Conspiracy! I have had some mail issues, so while I haven’t read the book, I can get you hyped up for Lost Crow Conspiracy from my Blood Rose Rebellion reading.

Anna can’t perform the simplest magical task. In fact, she’s so magically incompetent that she seems to break every magical spell around her.  Her family, not pleased by her ruining her sister’s magical coming out, and is exiled to visit her ‘other’ family in Hungary. While in Hungary, Anna discovers that neither her family, her world, nor her magic are what they seem to appear to be. She keeps breaking spells and has discovered that the rebellion isn’t just talk, but actual events going on all around her. She also discovers a secret about herself. Without spoiling too much, Anna may or may not be THE ONE and this lays the groundwork for Lost Crow Conspiracy.

I am thrilled to be a part of the blog tour and have prepared a fashion set for you to admire after you learn a little more about the book and Rosalyn!

ABOUT THE BOOK

Published March 27th 2018 by Knopf Books for Young Readers

Lost Crow Conspiracy is the dark, dazzling, action-packed sequel to Anna Arden’s explosive societal debut in YA fantasy trilogy Blood Rose Rebellion.

Sixteen-year old Anna Arden was once just the magically barren girl from an elite Luminate family. Now she has broken the Binding–and Praetheria, the creatures held captive by the spell, wreak havoc across Europe. Lower-class citizens have access to magic for the first time, while other Luminates lose theirs forever. Austria and Hungary are at odds once more.

Anna Arden did not know breaking the Binding would break the world.

Anna thought the Praetheria were on her side, content and grateful to be free from the Binding. She thought her cousin Matyas’s blood sacrifice to the disarm the spell would bring peace, equality, justice. She thought her future looked like a society that would let her love a Romani boy, Gabor.

But with the Monarchy breathing down her neck and the Praetheria intimidating her at every turn, it seems the conspiracies have only just begun.

As threat of war sweeps the region, Anna quickly discovers she can’t solve everything on her own. Now there’s only one other person who might be able to save the country before war breaks out. The one person Anna was sure she’d never see again. A bandit. A fellow outlaw. A man known as the King of Crows. Matyas.

BOOK COVER FASHION SET

I was tasked with putting together a cover fashion set. Since this book is based in 19th century Hungary, I wanted to place the Victorian Era-fashion against the contemporary look of the cover. In addition, I wanted to throw back to the cover for Blood Rose Rebellion, the first cover of this duology to tie it all together.  I hope I did the trick.

Thanks to Rosalyn and Random House Kids for having me be a part of this blog tour! It has been a pleasure!
