Like the particles of the universe that aligned to create the Big Bang, the circumstances of Birdie and Bash’s lives have made it so that they could only create a life-altering collision. Even if it all begins with a meet/cute, worlds will be rocked. Find out more about Birdie, Bash and their inevitable collision in this week’s installment of First Reads Friday!
Today marks just over the halfway point of Scholastic’s I Read YA Week. This year’s theme is What Does YA Stand For? For us, it means Limitless Boundaries. We have expanded our world beyond the scope of our friendship. We have met and fallen in love with fierce characters, traveled across the universe, to new lands, and made friends all over the globe in the YA community. Today, we look back on the our bookish adventures and how we’ve expanded our boundaries, we tell you the history of how we immersed ourselves in YA, plus we swap books with each other!
Library of Fates has been our our radar since its sumptuous cover was revealed last year. We were so smitten with its unique premise steeped in Indian mythology that we added it to our 2016 Book Radar. Today, we count ourselves very fortunate to be on the tour today with Book Aesthetics, as well as to tell you a little more about this book and how to win a copy.
I have been collecting YA playlists for a while now and I had a nostalgic moment earlier when I replayed Patrick Ness’s The Rest of Us Just Live Here soundtrack after reading about his upcoming book, Release. I absolutely adored The Rest of Us Just Live Here when I featured it on the blog a few years back in a First Reads Friday installment. I am so ready for Release, so am celebrating it by telling you a little more about it as well as sharing the Epic Reads playlist after the jump.
