Nice guy Caden and bad boy Dylan are fighting over the same girl. Winner gets the girl, loser gets….dead.  Who would you chose? Take our Love Interest Quiz and find out which hunk is right for you.

The Love Interest by Cale Dietrich

There is a secret organization that cultivates teenage spies. The agents are called Love Interests because getting close to people destined for great power means getting valuable secrets.

Caden is a Nice: The boy next door, sculpted to physical perfection. Dylan is a Bad: The brooding, dark-souled guy, and dangerously handsome. The girl they are competing for is important to the organization, and each boy will pursue her. Will she choose a Nice or the Bad?

Both Caden and Dylan are living in the outside world for the first time. They are well-trained and at the top of their games. They have to be – whoever the girl doesn’t choose will die.

What the boys don’t expect are feelings that are outside of their training. Feelings that could kill them both.

The Love Interest

Cover Art:  When it comes to love, things are very rarely black and white. There’s always a splash a red when you go for the heart. Love kills. This cover captures the elements of The Love Interest perfectly.

Kick-Ass Factor: Dylan and Caden were created for one purpose only: be the perfect match for some lucky girl. These trained love interests will have to turn up the charm in order to win her heart. For nice guy Caden this will means being the perfect gentleman. For bad boy Dylan this means being the perfect angsty hunk. But both will have to fight with all they’ve got if they’re going to win.

Favorite Quotes: There are many great quotes in The Love Interest, but here are a few of my spoiler free favorites.

“He’s looking at me with wide eyes like whatever I decide to do next is going to be the most important thing that has ever happened on earth”

“For a Nice, you’re not very nice, are you?”

“You know love can drive people to act irrationally.”

Bizarre Love Triangle: Two guys, one girl. That’s your typical love triangle. But does it count as a love triangle when the romance is engineered? The Love Interest takes the love triangle trope and turns it on its head.

Don’t Believe The Hype: The books is getting a lot of buzz and it’s completely warranted. Cale Dietrich’s debut is clever, original and steamy!

Open tab/Last call: With deception and betrayal as the basis for romance, The Love Interest immediately sets itself apart from the typical romance novel. But to be sure, there are plenty of genuine feels in this book! I’d gladly treat Cale to a glass of scotch so we can listen to The Killers and talk about The Love Interest.
