YA Travelogues have kept us VERY busy this summer.  In fact, we returned really late on a Sunday night only to realize that Geeky Con started 4 days later.  We determined it may be impossible to spend 3 days at another convention just 4 days after returning from a 5 day convention.

However, a tweet appeared that changed our minds.

Could it be?  Could 16 YA authors ALL be appearing at Barnes and Noble Plaza Venezia in one night?  YES??  OK, so we hit the road Friday afternoon and give you our photo travelogue today.

What should have been an hour drive turned into a 3-hour long Hunger Games in the car. Here are some of the good times.

Even after a ridiculously long commute, we arrived in plenty of time for the event.

The stage was set upon are arrival in the Music/Video department
ALMOST all the authors were ready to go at 7:30 start time
We got to hang out and meet two of YA’s tallest and most talented AND handsome writers, Adam Silvera & Jason Reynolds

After writing to each other for over a year, including actual hand-written notes, we FINALLY met Becky Albertalli. Words can not describe how thrilled we were.

Authors, like Anna-Marie McLemore told us a little about themselves, their currently available novels and what we could look forward to from them next
Julie Murphy was the designated Master of Ceremonies and she had her hands quite full with 15 surly authors.
Cindy Pon told us a little about Serpentine and Silver Phoenix
Renee Ahdieh really cracked us up and told us about her upcoming novel
Sona & Dhonielle told us all about Shiny Broken Things, follow up to Tiny Pretty Things
Becky and Anna-Marie were seated right in front of us!!
Lauren Gibaldi had a lot to discuss with Daniel Jose Older
Jason Reynolds was late, but we’ll forgive him because he wrote The Boy in the Black Suit
We were more than Happy to see Adam Silvera, author of More Happy Than Not and the upcoming History is All You Left Me.
